Krishana's Guiding Principle
Mapping Resilience Therapy Center is my clinical dream. I wanted to create something for the client in me and service the communities that I love.
Throughout my clinical work, I have watched what happens when someone is managed, labeled, or talked past instead of heard. A diagnosis that never fit. A treatment plan built for someone else’s life. A room that asked them to mask just to be tolerated. The people this happens to most are the ones I built this practice for: people carrying trauma, autistic and ADHD adults, people living with serious mental illness, and people whose race, culture, identity, or zip code meant the system was never designed with them in mind.
What I learned is that being truly seen is not a nicety. It is the intervention. When someone is finally heard, accurately understood, and treated by a clinician who knows their world, the shift is visible: stuck becomes movement, and powerless becomes a person who recognizes their own strengths and possibilities. That shift is what this practice was built around.
Every continuing-education course, every training, every specialty, every certification, and every one of my state licenses holds the stories of the clients who made me need it. I am exactly the clinician I think I am because of them, and I carry that into every session.
