You have probably been told you are handling it well. You may have spent a lot of energy making that look true.

If you are ready to stop performing fine and let someone see what it has actually cost you, that is where I come in.

I am a Black, trauma-trained therapist licensed to see Pennsylvania residents by telehealth. That means you can work with me from Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Allentown, Erie, Harrisburg — or from anywhere in rural Pennsylvania and the rural counties where the nearest therapist who fits is two hours away, if there is one at all.

Who I work with in Pennsylvania

People carrying complex trauma and PTSD. Anxiety, chronic stress and burnout. Depression and mood instability. Serious and persistent mental illness. And the particular exhaustion of moving through systems that were never built for you.

Many of my clients are Black, LGBTQIA+, autistic or ADHD, disabled, or living somewhere rural. Many have tried therapy before and left feeling unseen. If that is you, the fit was wrong — not you.

Finding a therapist in Pennsylvania

Philadelphia and Pittsburgh have deep clinical benches; the T-shaped middle of the state does not. In the rural counties between them, a Black therapist, or one who understands autism and ADHD in adults, or one who is comfortable with serious mental illness, may be a two-hour drive away, if there is one at all. If you are looking for a Black therapist, or one who understands neurodivergence, or one who is not frightened by serious mental illness, the local options thin out quickly — and the waiting lists for the ones who exist are long.

Telehealth removes the geography from that problem. Where you live stops deciding who you can work with.

How I work

EMDR — I am EMDRIA certified. Cognitive processing therapy. Somatic work. DBT skills. Internal family systems. Trauma-focused CBT. Mindfulness.

I match the approach to the person rather than asking the person to fit the approach, and we move at a pace your nervous system can actually tolerate. You decide what we open and when.

My role is not to fix you, because you are not broken. The aim is to work myself out of a job.

This is a neurodivergent-affirming practice. Masking is not a treatment goal here, and compliance is not evidence of progress. Your race, your queerness, your disability, your diagnosis and your history are context to be understood, not problems to be managed.

Fees and insurance in Pennsylvania

Individual sessions are $145. Couples sessions are $220. A sliding scale is available — if cost is the thing standing between you and starting, say so in the consultation and we will look at your options before you commit to anything.

I am in-network with Aetna, Cigna and Evernorth, Blue Cross Blue Shield plans including Anthem and Highmark, UnitedHealthcare and Optum, Carelon (formerly Beacon Health Options), Oscar Health, Ambetter, Kaiser Permanente and Wellpoint, and I can provide documentation for out-of-network reimbursement with other plans. A Good Faith Estimate is provided before we begin.

Pennsylvania is one call away. I work in Central time, with weekday evening slots until 8 pm Central and daytime slots on Saturday and Sunday.

I see individuals, couples and families, ages 6 through older adulthood.

Getting started

Start with a free 15-minute consultation. We will talk about what you are looking for and whether I am the right fit. No obligation, and no pressure to book anything on the call.

I am proud of you for getting this far. Reaching out is the hardest part, and you do not have to do the rest alone. I am because we are.

Together, we map the way forward.
