Krishana's Guiding Principle

My guiding principle,

Mapping Resilience Therapy Center represents a clinical dream for me. I wanted to create something for the client in me and service the communities that I love.

Being a human being is a task that none of us consciously accepted or at least remember accepting. It can be a frightening, frustrating, and stressful process that can FEEL impossible from one minute to the next. And then we add on the additional complexities of our different identities and it can feel as if no one will ever truly understand.

Krishana

I see you

No one starts the task of living without some form of assistance and I am determined to have none of my clients or better yet community members feel as if they have to go through their mental health journey without competent and qualified assistance right at home.

I am you

My therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that “I am because, We Are”. I aim to honor the interconnectedness of clients’ identities, lived experiences, and communities while delivering holistic, person-centered care for those navigating trauma, severe mental health challenges, neurodivergence, systemic barriers, and life transitions.

I care because all of my clients are my community members. You are my neighbor, my child’s teacher, the customer service representative that I call for issues, the medical professional that gives me distressing news about my loved one, and the person who holds the door open for me as a run to enter a local business. We all benefit from trauma informed and trauma responsive communities because we live and interact with them and each other daily

I am honored by your choice to start or continue your journey towards healing and lasting resilience with me

Mission & Vision

At Mapping Resilience Therapy Center, our mission is to provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and accessibility-centered mental health services that empower individuals, families, and communities to heal, grow, and build sustainable pathways forward. Through therapeutic services, clinical supervision, professional and community trainings, and specialized assessments, we will strengthen our collective resilience and foster long-term stability for marginalized and underserved populations.

Our vision is to cultivate a community-centered mental health practice where healing is accessible, affirming, and transformative. We envision a future in which neurodivergent individuals, justice-involved populations, trauma survivors, and marginalized communities receive equitable, developmentally appropriate, and culturally grounded care. Mapping Resilience Therapy Center strives to be a trusted clinical and educational leader in trauma-informed intervention, neurodivergent-affirming practices, forensic and immigration evaluations, and the professional development of emerging social workers advancing a mental health landscape rooted in dignity, inclusion, and empowerment.

How Do I Support Your Journey

Therapy at Mapping Resilience Therapy Center is a collaborative and personalized experience. Each session is designed to meet your unique needs, goals, and pace, ensuring that you feel supported every step of the way.

We focus on building a strong therapeutic connection while equipping you with practical tools and strategies to navigate life’s challenges. Whether you are working through past experiences, managing current stressors, or seeking clarity and direction, our work together is centered on helping you move forward with confidence and resilience.

As a trauma therapist, there are modalities that I feel mesh well with helping clients reset and repair their nervous symptoms such as Mindfulness, Somatic Therapy, Trauma informed CBT, and EMDR but I adapt therapeutic modalities to fit the needs and goals of the individual client through the telehealth medium. Therefore, I am also available and trained in DBT, DBT adaptations for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, CBT, CPT, ACT, PCIT, and others.

The goal of Mapping Resilience Therapy Practice was always to give my community members evidenced based best practice interventions and modalities from the comfort of their home.

Our Values

Interconnection

We believe healing occurs in relationship — to self, to others, and to community. Our work reflects the principle that collective well-being strengthens individual growth.

Trauma-Informed Care

Safety, trust, collaboration, empowerment, and cultural humility guide every service we provide.

Accessibility & Neurodivergent Affirmation

We are committed to removing barriers to care by offering developmentally appropriate, sensory-informed, and cognitively accessible services that affirm neurodivergent identities.

Cultural Responsiveness

We honor lived experiences shaped by race, ethnicity, gender, ability, socioeconomic status, incarceration, immigration status, and systemic inequities.

Integrity & Ethical Practice

We uphold the highest standards in clinical care, supervision, assessments, and professional training.

Empowerment Through Education

Through supervision and training, we equip emerging clinicians and organizations with the tools to provide compassionate, competent, and sustainable mental health services.

Resilience & Stability

We focus not only on symptom relief but on building long-term coping strategies, life skills, and systemic support that promote enduring well-being.
