I am a Black, trauma-trained Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and a clinical supervisor
for social workers in Utah. Supervision is online, so you can work with me from Salt Lake City, Provo, Ogden, St George and Logan, or from the rural south and the eastern counties.
I am a board-approved supervisor in Utah.
Who I supervise
I work with pre-licensed social workers building toward independent licensure, and with licensed
clinicians who want consultation on cases outside their training.
My supervisees tend to be people carrying the hardest caseloads in their agencies — complex trauma
and PTSD, autistic and ADHD clients, developmental and intellectual disabilities, serious and
persistent mental illness, and clients living with poverty, rural isolation, or the ordinary
exhaustion of moving through systems that were not built for them.
Why Utah
Utah’s rural counties can be several hours from the nearest specialist of any kind. And clinicians working with LGBTQIA+ clients, neurodivergent clients or clients in conflict with their community context often find that the supervision available to them does not have room for that work. It has room here.
How I supervise
Eleven years across schools, hospice, medical social work, crisis response and corrections taught me
not to flinch at hard things, and that is what I bring to supervision. You will not be handed a
reading list and told to reflect.
We work on real cases. Where you are stuck, what you are avoiding, what your gut is telling you that
you have not said out loud yet. I will tell you when I do not know something, and I will tell you
when I think you are wrong.
My practice is trauma-informed and neurodivergent-affirming. Masking is not a treatment goal for my
clients and it is not one for my supervisees either — you do not have to perform competence you do
not feel yet.
I am EMDR trained and EMDRIA certified. If you are working toward trauma competence, that is
something I can help you build.

Case conceptualisation and treatment planning. Trauma-informed practice and EMDR-informed
stabilisation. Neurodiversity-affirming work without shame, masking or compliance as goals.
Working with serious mental illness. Documentation, ethics and risk. Culturally responsive practice.
Rural and telehealth practice. And the part nobody schedules — how to keep doing this work without
it hollowing you out.
Fees
Individual supervision — $100 per hour
Group supervision — $80 per person, per session
Groups run small. You will know everyone in the room.
Utah board requirements
For CSW licenses issued on or after May 1, 2024, Utah requires 3,000 experience hours, including 1,200 direct-client hours and 100 direct clinical supervision hours, with 25 involving direct observation. Supervision meetings must occur weekly for full-time practice or at least twice monthly for part-time practice, with sessions lasting at least 50 minutes. Earlier CSW licensees follow the applicable transition requirements, which specify 1,000 direct-client hours and 75 supervision hours.
